Speak your mind and criticize could find youself in jail
In some places of the world
Like here, even

Create an uproar
Make people talk about it
They don’t like to face most things head on
Afraid
Of something. Everything, sometimes
True fear has not been known to the masses for centuries
Seemingly invincible
Super Man.

The computer whirs, the radio brings music
Traffic drives by
The lights work. So does the toilet
Water from the tap

A good question
Have asked many
Reaction differs, most don’t want to think about it
Don’t think it can happen
Resigned to destiny

Southern BC is hit by a nice earthquake
Its snowing, its cold
No planes are taking off
One of the big highways is already blocked.

I live in a box in downtown Vancouver
519 square feet.
Luxury, in the middle of it all.
After the shaking stops
So begins the trial

Bridges are down, buildings are down
There is fire
Lets hope the new water pipeline system still works
People are dead, more are hurt, not a lot is moving

How long can I stay in my apartment and be self contained ?

No running water, no heat, no lights (probably)
No batteries, no food
- Total consumer in the middle of the city -
I could open a can of mushroom soup
No milk
No water
No heat
No.

The 7-11 is empty
No new deliveries for the grocery stores
There is open looting
Violence has not run amuck, yet

Restaurants are closed
BBQ ! have one of those
Make tea ? heat the soup.

I don’t own a gun.

Take it as it comes
Enjoy the moment
The next is a moment away
